Admissions

Canadian School of Tashkent. Begin your child's
journey at CST.

Five steps, four to six weeks, one careful decision — together.

The Process

Five steps,
from enquiry to enrolment.

01

Enquire

Begin with a quick enquiry form, a phone call, or an email to our admissions office. We will send you a welcome pack — key information about CST, our curriculum, and what life on campus actually looks like for students at every stage.

02

Visit the campus

Attend an Open House or book a private tour. There is no substitute for walking the halls, meeting our teachers, and watching the school in motion. Most families know CST is right for them by the end of this visit.

03

Submit the application

Complete the formal application and upload the required documents: school transcripts, your child's passport or ID, two recent photographs, and any external assessments or reports relevant to grade placement.

04

Assessment & interview

Applicants for Grade 1 and above complete a placement assessment in English language and mathematics. The family meets with a member of the leadership team — a real conversation about goals, expectations, and fit, in both directions.

05

Offer & enrolment

Successful applicants receive a formal offer letter. Enrolment is confirmed on signing the agreement and paying the registration fee. Welcome to CST — the next chapter starts here.

Entry Points

A place at every
stage.

Lower PrimaryGrades K–2

Ages 5 – 8

Rolling admission. Placement based on age as of 1 September. No formal academic assessment — a friendly campus visit and an informal classroom observation is the next step.

Upper PrimaryGrades 3–5

Ages 8 – 11

Placement assessment in English and mathematics, family interview with our leadership team, and a WIDA proficiency check for incoming English language learners.

Middle SchoolGrades 6–9

Ages 11 – 15

Placement assessment in English, mathematics, and science, plus recent transcripts. Subject specialization begins here, so academic readiness is reviewed carefully at the family interview.

High SchoolGrades 10–12

Ages 15 – 18

Transcript review against Nova Scotia entry standards, subject placement interview, and a conversation about university aspirations. Seats are limited — early application strongly encouraged.

How We Welcome You

Admissions is a conversation.
Not a screening.

We are listening for fit.

What is your child like? What do they love? What has school been for them so far? Our admissions team is listening for who your child already is, not testing them against a checklist of who they should be.

No fixed timeline.

Some families decide quickly; others want a second visit or time to talk it through over the summer. There is no single application week and no urgency we will manufacture — the right pace is the pace your family needs.

The relationship starts now.

Even families who do not enrol this year often stay in touch. A school visit, a question by email, a conversation at an Open House — the relationship begins long before the first day of school, and it does not depend on a yes.

Choosing a school is not a verdict we deliver.
It is a decision we make together.

Nova Scotia Pathway

Joining the Nova Scotia
program.

Transferring into Grades 10–12 requires a careful credit review against Nova Scotia graduation requirements. Our Nova Scotia Programme Principal sits with each family to map the credits already earned, identify what remains, and build a personalized plan to the Nova Scotia High School Graduation Diploma.

It is the same diploma a student would earn in Halifax. The same standards, the same curriculum, the same university recognition. The four-step pathway in the drawer below explains exactly how it works.
