Responsibilities

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate English Language Arts Teacher to join our dedicated faculty. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of English language arts curriculum development and pedagogy, along with a strong aptitude for integrating technology into their teaching practices. Familiarity with McGraw Hill resources and the Canadian curriculum is highly preferred.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and implement engaging English language arts lesson plans tailored to meet the diverse needs of students.
     
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and critical thinking.
     
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, including technology-enhanced learning tools, to enhance student learning outcomes.
     
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide timely feedback to support academic growth.
     
  • Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum objectives and share best practices for effective teaching and learning.
     
  • Stay informed about current trends and developments in English language arts education, integrating new ideas and methodologies into instructional practices.

  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress, discuss academic concerns, and collaborate on strategies to support student learning.
Requirements

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
     

Valid teaching certification/license.
 

Proven experience teaching English language arts at the 6-12 level.
 

Strong proficiency with educational technology tools and platforms.
 

Familiarity with McGraw Hill resources and the Canadian curriculum is an asset.
 

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Terms
